Corrections policy

A clear correction process matters because even a small formula, unit, validation, or wording error can change how a result is understood.

What to report

Please report incorrect results, unit factors, formulas, examples, assumptions, labels, source descriptions, broken controls, accessibility barriers, and materially outdated information. Differences caused only by an explicitly selected rounding setting are not errors, but unclear rounding guidance is still useful feedback.

How to submit a useful report

Email hello@unitmora.com with as much of the following as you can provide:

  • the exact UnitMora page URL;
  • all inputs, selected units, settings, and the displayed result;
  • the result you expected and the calculation used to obtain it;
  • a link or citation to a primary or authoritative source;
  • your browser and device if the problem concerns page behavior.

How reports are reviewed

  1. Reproduce: run the reported inputs and determine whether the issue is mathematical, editorial, technical, source-related, or expected behavior.
  2. Verify: compare the implementation with the displayed formula and an appropriate authoritative reference.
  3. Assess impact: prioritize issues that can materially affect health, financial, construction, engineering, safety, or widely used results.
  4. Correct: update the formula, factor, validation, explanation, source, or interface and add a regression check where practical.
  5. Recheck: test the affected result and related calculations before publication.

How corrections are disclosed

Minor spelling, grammar, layout, and clarity changes may be corrected without a public notice. A material correction changes the meaning, formula, unit relationship, example, limitation, or likely result. Material changes should update the page's review date and, when context is needed to prevent misunderstanding, include a visible correction note.

What we do not promise

Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome or response time. We do not change a correct method merely to match a preferred result, and we cannot resolve disputes governed by a lender, school, clinician, manufacturer, regulator, contract, local code, or proprietary standard.

Urgent decisions should not wait for a website correction.

If a result could affect health, safety, money, legal rights, construction, or engineering work, stop and verify it directly with the relevant qualified professional or controlling authority. See the calculator disclaimer.
