Privacy policy

Calculator inputs stay in your browser, but delivering and funding a public website can involve separate technical and advertising data. This policy explains that distinction, who may process data, and the choices available to you.

1. Who we are

UnitMora operates unitmora.com and is responsible for the data practices described here. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@unitmora.com.

2. Calculator inputs are processed locally

Values entered into UnitMora calculators and converters are processed locally by code running in your browser. UnitMora does not send those calculation values to its servers. Preferences, favorites, recent tools, saved inputs, and calculation history use your browser’s local storage. Temporary comparison lists use session storage and normally disappear when the browser tab is closed.

This local-input promise applies to the values entered into UnitMora tools. It does not mean that no data leaves your device: normal website requests and any advertising services described below can separately process technical information.

3. Information that may be processed

  • Technical request data: our hosting, DNS, and security providers may process an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, device or browser information, referrer, and security signals when delivering the site.
  • Messages you send: if you email us, we receive your address, message, attachments, and associated email metadata.
  • Browser-stored tool data: preferences and saved activity remain under your browser profile and are not available to UnitMora unless you deliberately include them in a message.
  • Advertising data: when advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process online identifiers, IP address, browser and device details, approximate location, page and referrer information, consent signals, and ad impressions, interactions, or fraud signals.

4. Why information is processed

Technical request data is processed to deliver the site, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents. Messages are processed to respond to your request, maintain support or correction records, and comply with legal obligations.

Advertising data may be processed to select and deliver ads, limit how often an ad appears, measure performance, report aggregated results, prevent invalid activity, and—only where permitted and based on the applicable choice or legal basis—personalize advertising.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, essential delivery and security generally rely on legitimate interests or necessity to provide the requested site. Consent is requested for non-essential advertising storage, access, or personalization where required. Other advertising processing may rely on a provider’s legitimate interests only where applicable law permits it and required choices are offered.

5. Cookies and browser storage

UnitMora uses local storage for settings and saved features and session storage for temporary comparisons. These technologies support the tool behavior you request and are separate from advertising storage.

When Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, the provider may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, security, frequency controls, and permitted personalization. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and describes its technologies in the Google Cookies Policy.

6. Advertising partners

UnitMora may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. When a Google ad is requested or displayed, Google and participating advertising vendors may receive the advertising data described above. Their use of that information is governed by their own terms, policies, consent signals, and legal responsibilities. Read the Google Privacy Policy for more information.

Advertising does not receive calculator input values from UnitMora. However, avoid placing confidential information in a shared URL, exported file, screenshot, clipboard, email, or other feature you intentionally use to move information outside the calculator.

7. Consent and advertising choices

Where consent is legally required, UnitMora must present a consent message before enabling the relevant non-essential advertising storage or personalized advertising. You must be able to accept, reject, or manage the available purposes and later revisit that choice. If no consent interface is shown, advertising that requires consent should not be enabled.

You can also manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center, adjust cookie and site-data controls in your browser, or use legally required opt-out mechanisms presented on UnitMora. Blocking storage may reduce personalization or affect some saved site preferences, but the core calculators do not require an account.

8. Service providers and international processing

Infrastructure providers may process limited technical data to host, deliver, secure, and monitor the site. Email providers process messages you send us. These providers act under their own contractual and legal obligations and may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards should be used by the relevant provider.

9. Retention

Browser-stored tool data remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. Infrastructure logs are retained according to the security and operational settings of the provider serving the site. We keep support emails only as long as reasonably needed to respond, document a correction or request, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Advertising providers determine retention for data they control under their published policies and settings.

10. Your privacy rights

You can disable or clear local storage in your browser, though saved features may stop working. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal data we control, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority.

UnitMora does not exchange personal information for money. Some privacy laws define targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. Where such rules apply to enabled advertising, the consent or privacy-choice interface must provide the required opt-out. Email privacy@unitmora.com to make a request concerning data UnitMora controls. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record; requests about data controlled by Google should also use Google's privacy controls.

11. Children

UnitMora is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or website forms because those features are not offered. Advertising settings must not intentionally treat UnitMora as child-directed unless the service and ads are configured to meet the applicable requirements.

12. Security and policy changes

We use proportionate technical and organizational measures and minimize the data available to us, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the product or its providers change. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
